Rachel’s Ginger Beer brings ginger beer to a whole new level. Before coming here, I have only ever seen plain ginger beer, “original” ginger-flavored ginger beer, but at Rachel’s, there is a wide array of flavors. They have everything from blood orange to spicy pineapple. In addition to the smaller sizes you can have there, they also offer growlers so that you can take home ginger beer. These can be purchased in 32oz and 64oz forms and will definitely satisfy all of your ginger beer needs. The coolest part about Rachel’s Ginger Beer is that you can add soft serve to any of your drinks to make it a ginger beer float! They have vanilla soft serve and Dole Whip, and both make the drink an even more enjoyable experience. Although I am not over 21, I know they also offer a variety of cocktails with their ginger beer and shots are available to add on your own too!

After walking around in the heat, I wanted something really refreshing, so I decided on some ginger beer. The variety of flavors all sounded quenching, and after much deliberation, I decided on pink guava. It was just what I needed: tangy, not to sweet, and just enough carbonation. I have tried their other flavors before, but I always go back to the pink guava. The flavor is not too overpowering and still lets some of the sharp ginger flavor some through. If I could, I would drink it everyday. I got a cup of Dole Whip on the side, and it was just as yummy as I always remember it. Rachel’s Ginger Beer also offers seasonal flavors if that is something you are interested in. They often  provide exciting new options and change up the standard menu— not that I would actually consider their menu standard to begin with!

Rachel’s Ginger Beer has several locations around Seattle. There is one in University Village, 12th Ave, Pike Place (although this location is 21+), and South Lake Union.  In all of my experiences, the employees have always been very friendly and patient, especially as I try to decide what flavor I want to get and ask them questions on their favorites. The ambience here was eclectic and modern with exciting murals on the walls and dim mood lighting. They have bar seating, standard tables, and outdoor seating available This is a good place to catch up with friends or even to get some work done while sipping a sparkly beverage. The area around this location is also very modern. There are a lot of large business buildings with parks and open areas in between.

Overall, I love coming to Rachel’s Ginger Beer because I enjoy being able to partake in a delicious drink in an entertaining environment. I will be coming back the next chance I get, hopefully to try ginger beer float!
