Reviewing Bambina Blue: Treat yourself to a Gelato wonder room in Manhattan.

So you’re walking around SoHo looking for the coolest dessert shop there is, and then… boom! On Cleveland Place lies a unique hidden gem called Bambina Blue. This is no regular gelato shop; it is filled with 32 one-of-a-kind flavors ranging from creamy Napolean to bright cotton candy.

The store owner Eyal Hen also owns a Tele Vivian restaurant called 19 Cleveland, which has been acclaimed to have the best Israeli food in NYC.

The gelato shop describes itself as a “perfect mix of both party and chill,” which I could not agree more. As you walk in, you are greeted with palm trees, disco balls, and rainbow-colored animals. The service was beyond respectful and caring; the worker and I talked about the shop and I was impressed, to say the least. She expressed how the gelato shop just opened two months ago and that they are expecting to hit grand numbers once the summer and warm weather approaches.

The choices can be overwhelming since each one sounds and looks so good. I got one scoop of the knafeh gelato, which consists of ricotta gelato, rose water, crispy phyllo dough, and pistachios, and a scoop of the “Blondish Pretzel” flavor, which includes a white chocolate and caramel base swirl with chocolate pretzel sauce. The flavors were vibrant and matched their descriptions very well. The knafeh was crunchy and tasted exactly like the dessert. The Blondish Pretzel, on the other hand, was by far my favorite, as I am a sucker for anything caramel-flavored.

Once served, you are greeted with an array of different seating arrangements. Colorful and individualized couches and tables are waiting for you to sit on them and experience your sweet desserts. If you are not interested in sitting on these cool pieces of furniture, they have an outdoor space decked out with different structures of animals and benches.

If you are not looking to travel all the way to the actual establishment, they also do delivery around the area. You can order three different flavors to go, each with three cones, and make your own little handheld dessert at home. If your dog is sniffing out your delicious cone, don’t worry; they also make sugar-free and allergen-free doggy ice cream.

Overall, the ambiance was one to remember, with psychedelic vibes and cool structures that have made a mark in my memory. And how could I ever forget the most unique flavors of gelato I’ve ever tasted? I would highly recommend Bambina Blue to whoever is craving something sweet in SoHo.
